If you’re reading this blog, you probably have your own ideas and opinions concerning the nomadic lifestyle.

And you probably have something important to say. Discoveries to share. Tips to offer. Stories to tell.

I know I’d like to hear it – and I’m sure other people would too.

So why don’t you share your voice on A Nomad’s Lot?

There are many ways this can happen. I’m not attached to any particular format or structure. Photo essay of your travels? Article about how you became a nomad? Skype or email interview? It’s all good.

Some of the most helpful information I share on this blog comes from the mouths of others. As I come into contact with more and more people who have chosen a nomadic way of life, I’m continually inspired by their courage, honesty, and creativity. I love writing about them, and I hope the stories I pass along inspire even more people.

If you’re a nomad – or in the process of becoming one – please share your story with me. If I think your adventures have the potential to inspire others (and I bet they do!) then I’d love to feature you on the blog in some way.

Photographers:

A number of people have asked me where I find the beautiful photos I publish with posts. A few of them are mine, but most of them (the best ones!) are found on Flickr. I am deeply grateful to the generous and talented souls who share their work under the Creative Commons license, and I hope that you occasionally click on their bylines to view the rest of their portfolios. Some of my favorite photos so far are here and here.

If you’re a photographer who would like to publish your images on A Nomad’s Lot, let me know. I regret that I can’t purchase rights, but I’ll include your byline and even a short bio, if you so desire. I’m interested in photos that tell a story, have a stunning visual impact, and make me laugh or cry. They don’t have to be travel-related whatsoever.

At the moment I do most of the actual writing here, with my husband Rinch working hard behind the scenes to tell me when I’ve contradicted myself or sounded like an idiot.

If you have something insightful to say that you think fits with the message of A Nomad’s Lot, write up a guest post and send it my way. I can’t promise I’ll publish it, but I’ll definitely consider all submissions. If I do publish it, I’ll include a link to your site. I’m also happy to write for your blog if you want to trade guest posts.

technology that enhances the nomadic lifestyle

anything that makes travel easier, more efficient, or more fun
